What it covers

Guidelines, drafted jointly with the European Data Protection Board, on how obliged entities may share information in partnerships to detect and report suspicious activity while protecting personal data. Announced on 1 July 2026: national authorities deliver proposals by the end of August 2026, drafting with the EDPB starts in September 2026, and AMLA plans a public consultation in the first half of 2027. Art. 75 AMLR applies from 10 July 2027.

What it means in practice

Relevant for institutions in transaction-monitoring or KYC utilities (in the Netherlands: TMNL-type partnerships): the EU legal basis and the data-protection conditions replace national arrangements from July 2027.
