1. What AMLR Monitor is
AMLR Monitor (www.amlr-monitor.com) is an information and workflow tool of Castor Concepts BV. It shows the status of the EU anti-money-laundering package (AMLR, AMLD6, AMLAR) and the RTS, Guidelines and ITS under it, and offers a workspace in which an organisation can assess, plan, track and document its own compliance work.
AMLR Monitor is not a law firm, consultancy, auditor or supervisor. Nothing on the site or in the workspace is legal advice, and nothing replaces the judgement of a qualified adviser or the position of your supervisor.
2. How we take care
We do our best to show information carefully and completely:
- Statuses, dates and summaries are maintained by hand, dated, and reviewed against the official sources (EBA, AMLA, EUR-Lex and national supervisors); statements link to their source where one is available.
- The official pages are checked every day for new publications, and a document that points to a new stage is flagged for review before the register is changed.
- The AI functions are instructed to use only the facts in the regulation and in your workspace, to name their sources, to keep facts, judgement and assumptions apart, and to say so when something still has to be verified at the source.
Despite this care, information can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Draft texts (consultation papers, final drafts, texts submitted to the Commission) remain drafts until they are published in the Official Journal or issued as final guidelines, and may still change. Where the site and an official text differ, the official text prevails.
3. Your responsibility
The organisation that uses AMLR Monitor remains itself responsible for:
- implementing the AMLR, AMLD6 and the national law that applies to it, in its policies, procedures, systems, controls and training;
- its business-wide and customer risk assessments, its customer due diligence, its monitoring and its reporting of suspicions;
- every decision it takes on the basis of information, assessments, tasks, roadmaps, reports or answers from AMLR Monitor;
- checking every conclusion against the official text and, where the stakes require it, with a qualified adviser;
- meeting the requirements and deadlines of its supervisor, and the outcome of any supervisory review or enforcement.
A readiness tracker that shows every block as done, a compliance report, or a roadmap that is fully covered is a record of your own work and your own assessment, not a confirmation by Castor Concepts BV that the organisation complies with the law.
4. AI-generated content
Answers of the AI consultant, impact assessments, task briefs, roadmap analyses, regulatory updates, document summaries, status proposals and blog articles are produced by an AI model. They are marked as such, carry their sources, and are made to be checked. They can be incomplete, outdated or wrong, and they do not take account of facts about your organisation that you did not provide. Treat them as a well-prepared starting point, never as a final answer.
5. Sources and links
The site links to documents of AMLA, the EBA, the European Commission, EUR-Lex and national supervisors, and to other third-party pages. Those organisations are responsible for their own content; a link is not an endorsement and we do not guarantee that a linked page is current or available.
6. Liability
For organisations with an account, our liability is governed by section 10 of the Terms of service, which also limit its amount; that clause prevails over this summary. In short: the Service supports your compliance work but does not perform it; we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of the Service, for the accuracy or completeness of statuses, summaries or generated content, or for findings of a supervisor against your organisation.
Visitors who use the public site without an account have not accepted the terms; for them this disclaimer applies. The public information is provided as it is, for information only, and we accept no liability for its use, to the extent the law allows such a limitation. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes and contact
We may change this disclaimer; the date above is the date of the current version. Questions about it can be sent to the contact address below.
